Contact Information Transmission Equipment (Optical/Metal type)
OST-716BIV (Optical/Metal type)

This equipment transmits contact information through optical fiber and metal cable transmission lines.
OST-716BIV  is the successor to OST-716BIII, and both can be interchangeably connected to each other.
(Please refer to the configuration example. OST-716BⅣ cannot be interchangeably connected with OST-716BII.)

Equipment Category
Contact information transmission equipment
Connection configuration
Point-to-point (1:1)
Transmission line IF
metal cable,
single-core optical fiber
Terminal side IF
contact input,
contact output
Power supply
100V AC,
-24V DC,
-48V DC,
110V DC

The basic configuration (master device) transmits 16-point contact information.

Extending slave devices allows the transmission of up to 128 contact points.

This compact type product is for space saving purposes (equivalent size to the old OST-716BIII model).

The enclosures of the optical fiber and metal cable type products are the same size. (The projections are not included)

Parity check and inverted double-transmission data comparison are used to check the errors of the transmitted data formats, thereby ensuring very high reliability.

Sampling processing of data according to the SV input allows the filtering (no transmission) of signals with a cycle time of 25 ms or lower.

A cycle hold function that allows the reliable transmission of instantaneous input data (16-bit units) can be selected.

Sampling processing according to the digital TM input can be done, preventing the generation of data errors during carry or borrow processing.

Leased lines from NTT, etc. and carrier telephone equipment can also be used for transmission lines.

* 1. OST-716BIV can be interchangeably connected with OST-716BIII (old model); however, it cannot be interchangeably connected with OST-716BII.
* 2. When frequency multiplexing at 200 bps is applied to OST-716BIV (metal type), an extra filter is necessary. (optional)
