This is a selective level meter that can measure the overall transmission characteristics of a variety of carrier telephone equipment and communication devices over a wide frequency band.
Collectively integrating the level meter unit and filters switchable for measurement, SPM-40 demonstrates its strong capabilities to measure the levels of signals at any frequency.

It has been designed with an operability-oriented structure by employing a dial knob type switch for selecting the measurement frequency.

Compatible with systems with various impedances ranging from 75 Ω to 600 Ω.

It can measure a wide-ranging input power of -80 dBm to +20 dBm.

Fitting an external attenuator to the meter can increase the maximum input power to +30 dBm. (Only an attenuator for a 75 Ω unbalanced line comes as an standard accessory.)

The impedance of external attenuators can be switched between HIGH and LOW (terminated), making it possible to measure active lines in the HIGH impedance state.

The selection of the built-in filters for measurement and the FLAT measurement mode can be switched and used with one-touch control.

Measured data can be stored in multimedia cards (MMC) in CSV format, thereby allowing PCs, etc. to import the data for editing with spreadsheet software, etc.

This new compact product is a battery-operated hand-held meter.
